class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>His work ranges from classical and contemporary drama to devised theatre, documentary formats, physical and dance theatre, participatory performances and interdisciplinary installations. As a director, he has staged both new work and adaptations of classical texts, including <em>Urfaust<\/em> and <em>Lysistrata<\/em>, while also developing productions for public spaces and unconventional venues. <\/strong><strong>A strong physical approach is a recurring element of his work. He has extensive experience in directing movement, stage combat, large-scale choreographies and speaking choirs, combining text, bodies, space and visual composition as equal theatrical means.<\/strong><\/h6><h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong> <br \/>2011 he also founded the award-winning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brachland-ensemble.de\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">BRACHLAND-ENSEMBLE <\/span><\/a><\/strong><strong>, an interdisciplinary artists\u2019 collective working at the intersection of performing arts, social research and civic participation.<\/strong><\/h6><h6><strong>Over the following years, his artistic practice increasingly expanded into the fields of democracy, political education, social sciences, media and ecology. Research for documentary productions has taken him to countries including Tanzania, India, Syria, Japan and Ukraine.<\/strong><\/h6><h6><strong><br \/>Breuer works across different media and theatrical forms and is particularly interested in the question of how audiences can move beyond the role of spectators and become active participants in an artistic process.
